Late

Sorry for not posting for about 6 days.

While i was reading some articles over the net,
I found one long article,

An abstract from the article,

It's true. And I'm willing to admit it. I quit spending time with God. It's not true to say I wanted to be with Him but was undisciplined, or that I desired God's presence but didn't know what to do. I knew what to do to have a quiet time; I even possessed a small measure of discipline. I just didn't want to do it. Arrogant? You bet. Dangerous? Perhaps. A surprise to my Creator? I doubt it.

(My words: I think this true and it somehow applies to how we treated QT, I think most Christians know what was quiet time and what to do to have a quiet time. Many times we say we are lazy, undisciplined. But how exactly true are we? I was someone like that before too, I just didn't want to do it, if I want, I would do, no matter how lazy or how undisciplined I am. In the end, it is also a matter of choice, whether we want to do it or not.)

"Now, when I come to God, I'm not bound by duty. I ask the Lord to give me a desire for His Word, for Himself, for truth. And I began preaching the gospel to myself each day. Now I remind myself to trust in the merit of Christ as my only hope for blessings (Romans 4:7,8). I dwell daily on the fact that, because of Christ's redeeming work on the Cross, God's holy wrath is no longer directed at me (Romans 8:1). And I trust in His promise to continue His good work in me (Philippians 1:6). Repeating these truths daily keeps me from tripping on the performance snare again. And they give me a grateful heart. I try what John Owen suggested: ". . . [to] look to Christ as the one who bears the iniquity of [my] holy things, who adds incense to [my] prayers, gathers out all the weeds from [my] duties and makes them acceptable."

That's all.
I sinned today. Sorry.

humility and pride

Today is on humility.

Being humble, can be a hard thing to do sometimes.
That's when you try to be humble, others said that you are being a hypocrite.
But today is about Humility Vs. Pride.

"You can take pleasure in your good qualities or achievements and still be humble. But when you act in a prideful, boastful, or arrogant way, you're not being humble. So enjoy what you like about yourself and what you do well, but make sure you do it with gratitude and humility, and not with pride."

I think its easy for humans to be prideful of their own achievements, and when they get too much of such compliments, they tend to be too proud of themselves and look down on others, well... being boastful. As it says, its okay to take pride in your own achievements but being arrogant and boastful about it would lead to sinful pride.

In example of humility on Paul.
Paul, a faithful servant of God set us an example of humility.
Instead of boasting on what he has done for christ, his service for Christ and his own hertiage,
he boast only about how much Christ has done for him and nothing else.

He is someone that I would like to learn from. To humble myself and not to be arrogant for my own achievements. Remember that it is God that helped me in many different ways, in ways that I do not even know of.

well, this is end of the QT sharing.

thoughts

my left wrist hurts again while playing piano.
sometimes, I am afraid that one day, I may not be able to play piano again.

Things happened so quickly nowadays,
Just reading through things,
and read something really stuck my mind.

God promises.
Sometimes, it seems hard to imagine how would God fulfill his promises,
It may take 1 year, 2 years or much more and in this process, you start to wonder
"did God forget me and the promises?", or you wonder, "is God testing my patience?"
many times, when it comes to waiting, it's really the hardest thing to do.
but by faith, continue to trust that God will really fulfill his promise because he does.
I know he would.

and I should start doing my QT, sometimes, I think I might be drifting away.
I need to get back on my feet.
so I would post my QT thoughts from today.

BTW~ pasir ris white sands has this yoghurt fruzen.
who wants to go and eat with me?
HAHAH :D

bored

okay, sorry for not blogging for so long.
Just trying to get used to the new timetable and school life.
I guess I do not have much motivation in life and in school.

I don't see myself learning at all, its just like fulfilling my job, doing FMT, presentation just because I need to. Wondering why did I feel this way.
Did I got sick of school? I felt like I want to go high places and jump down, sort of bungee jump, I want to try Singapore's "similar" bungee jump.

Though its late right now, but I really thank all for the birthday wishes. Especially, my parents, for going out so late to buy swensens ice cream cake for me. And my MUM! for making me such a cute "pillow". It's cute and I'll upload the pictures next time.

I want to thank 90s too, who are a nice bunch of brothers and sisters. Thanking eunice for getting such nice bag, there's dog too. Love it.

Btw, I want to go cycling. Who cares to join me in this journey? :D
p.s.: can I really believe? :) I don't know, though I prayed, but should I continue or should I not? Maybe its a waste of time but I just don't know. Its frustrating. Is God asking to me to be patient? I hope so.

Thankful heart

I was really thankful on Sunday.
My wallet had 20 dollars left, and I decided that I would give an offering.
Just then, I asked myself, "oh, then how to go for the exhibition later? but.. an offering should be made with a willing heart.. never mind about the exhibition, can borrow from sis, I should give a portion of what I have to the lord for I feel that it is more important than whatever comes next."

So I gave my offering. Well, the ticket was $20 and now I have $18 left. Amazingly, when we reached there, this group of people are finding for people to fill up the places to 20 people to get discount of the tickets. And the last three people, which was us, filled up the space. And the ticket was $18, not more and not less.

Here, I realized, how God makes wonders, reminding me of one sharing from candy. That God always provides for our needs, he provides just enough, there is was just nice or more, but never less. No matter how poor we are, how we always complaint about not enough money, but it is always enough for us to live by. I ought to be really thankful.

And how true this verse is:
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens: the neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!" ( Luke 12:22-24)

emm, about the dead sea scroll exhibition, will be on my next post.
Be prepared for a long post!

Without his cross

Without His Cross
By : Joseph M. Martin

Without His tears, there is no comfort
Without His death, there is no life
Without His blood, there is no pardon
Without His cross, there is no crown

Without His shame, there is no glory
Without His grief, there is no joy
Without His stripes, there is no healing
Without His cross, there is no crown

Lamb of God, who bring salvation
And with Your grace, our hearts are sealed
Lord, with Your tears of love, You bathed our sorrows
In Your eyes we stand revealed

Without His tears, there is no comfort
Without His death, there is no life
Without His blood, there is no pardon
Without His cross, there is no crown

Found this version online. I liked the English lyrics a lot and was touched by the song.
But it is the lyrics that speak of the truth and how beautiful the song is.

life..

now, It's really bored to stay home during holidays, even though there's school.
Last semester, and last year in poly after this coming holiday.
How time past quickly, the way it comes and the way it goes.
While I'm counting down to the day of my graduation,
I kept on wondering what am I going do after i graduate.
Continue to further studies or just work first.
I need to seriously consider these things.

Plus I need to work on my "don't dare" character or just get out of my comfort zone,
just feel that its a need to get rid of that or else I can never move on.

Oh ya, I feel like changing my blog template again.
Seriously, this is what I do when I get bored. HAHA.

Fall, slow tears

Saturday, I just went to the Hallelujah Oratorio concert.
I heard this song, I really loved it.

The lyrics:
Fall, slow tears, and drown all my doubts
and fears and wash away my sin and shame in the
flood of forgiveness and mercy.
Fall, fall, fall slow tears.

weep, sad eyes;my soul in repentance cries
create in me a clean heart, oh God,
and renew a right spirit within me.
Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.
Take all my iniquities upon you.
Have mercy on me, have mercy on me.

Fall, slow tears, and drown all my doubts and fears and
wash away sin and shame in the
flood of forgiveness and mercy..
Fall, slow tears;weep ,sad eyes;
Fall, fall,fall, slow tears.

lastly

AHHA. I just cut my hair on sunday.
got a short hair cut, there goes my hair!

I am so glad that the UTs are all over!
I think I'm quite slack right now, I want a job but only for 5 weeks.
Plus I can only work for a few days per week cause got projects. that's bad.
I don't really want to spend all my holidays lurking around at home.
Or, should I just watch drama series for 5 weeks? that sounds like wasting of time.

Well well well.. What should I do then?
oh yes, I need to get a new jacket and make sure that it is thick enough.
this new hairstyle make me feel colder than before.

hais, going to prepare for night safari outing!

A small update!

well, I'm here again.
Today was the best day in RP!
We didn't had a presentation today, we just looked at the pictures my faci had on his laptop. then had our 6P. HHAH, what a relaxing day.

These days I have been watching a tv show called "fringe", it is showing on Monday on channel 5 at 10:00pm. Its really an interesting show, it talks about the fringe science, a 'pattern' that is happening. Well, fringe science, where science and technology have advanced to the point where anything is possible.

When I watched till 7th episode, it really gives me an idea. When science and technology reached this stage, I can imagine how many 'corrupted' people would take advantage of knowledge like this to create things as such.

I really recommend those who likes phenomenal stuffs and science to watch. Its a pretty good show. AHHA!

well, that's all. going off!
And well, next show to watch is criminal minds!
HAHA.

New Skin!

okay! i got myself a new skin!
another one made by yours truly, yes, using powerpoint again.

Not very satisfied but haa,
Anyway, today I woke up at 8am to watch some china channel.

I guess many of us have heard of the solar eclipse and that China would be the one experiencing the most of it. Well, so I waited and watched the news. Well, it took almost 2 hours for the whole process to end. HA.

But I'm quite glad that I am able to watch this since we may have to wait for another 300 years before the next eclipse. yupp.

HAHA. I should be studying UT right now. so gotta go! :D

interesting...

how long have i not update my poor little blog?

After the stressful G301 presentation, I finally took a little rest and the team might be starting G302 soon. erm..

Saw something interesting. Both good and bad.
Good:
A few days ago I was on a journey from tampines to adjunied by train. There, I saw this women giving up her seat to an old lady, well, natural reaction for those who are willing. Well, she got another seat after that, after a stop, she gave up her seat to another man who was carrying a baby.
How thankful I am when I saw this scene. Appartently, not many of the singaporeans are willingly to gave up their seats to other needy ones.

Bad:
This is another journey by bus from tampines to church for choir. I saw something like this. This lady behind me went up the bus and treated the bus as her home. She put her stuffs on the opp seat and she took out her slippers. Well, she put both of her legs on the opp chair and took out a magazine to read. Well, I guess she was quite unhygenic there.

Another interesting thing that I found out yesterday, that this was the first time in POLY that someone new has called me by my chinese name shuyun. Well, he looks like he has difficulties in pronoucing sherylyn. hmm, i think its quite interesting...

interesting 2: type "inside sbs bus". you will see some pictures that show a very cool SBS bus which is seldom around. Well, if you don't know, just ask me. I'll be willing to help. but its really cool. HAHHA.

sad.

hmm, mama today went to thailand with her sisters and brothers.
The thing is that I have never been at home without ma for 4 days.
Another thing is that I am worried. I know is a natural thing.

The moment she carried her luggage out of the house, i just couldn't leave the door, kept asking her to be careful.
I kept my tears away. but when she hugged me, I am already at the point of breaking down.
I am a mummy's girl.

I'm quite sad right now, but the most important thing is her safety. I couldn't be at there to watch her safety, but I'll pray that God does watch over her. Especially when they are going to take a bus at night. Always heard of accidents occurring at night. Couldn't help but keep worrying.

But I'll try to be strong.
:(

VERY DEPRESSING

I HATE THIS!
why my family don't understand me?
why do they don't appreciate me?

I had to play my piano.
but why do they always ask me to keep it quiet or stop playing for awhile.
And today I was rushing to practice for the pieces that I need to record.
WHY WHY CANT THEY BE MORE UNDERSTANDING!
MUST THEY ALWAYS DO THAT WHILE I'M TRYING TO LEARN SOMETHING!
i am very sad. I can't play.

I know that piano is very loud, but when they tell me to either stop playing or keep it quiet, it is very hurtful.
I really need to play the piano, don't they understand? If I can't play the piano, I'm not going to be happy.
I want my own digital piano, GIVE ME ONE, and I wont play the upright piano anymore, I'll play it to myself.

Now, I always have to press the middle pedal to make it softer, why can't they let me play.
what's the point of having piano lessons when I have to practice in a softer mode.
VERY DEPRESSING. VERY...........
I feel like stopping learning piano, its so hard to keep going anymore.
And I only have time to practice after school.
PLUS they watch TV the same time I play piano.
AND they like to on the volume louder while i'm playing.

Yes, I might be disturbing you, BUT I have to! I HAVE NO OTHER TIME TO PRACTICE.
why can't they understand this.

I really want someone in the family that love music as I do. someone, who really can listen to my music. I keep telling myself, God will listen to my music, but as I kept on playing, my tears just drop because the words that humans told me. ITS HURTING ME....

As I watch nodame cantabile, it makes me want to play more, I wish I could be like them, playing for hours non-stop. I can, but I guess the environment does not allow. I always thought that if I have digital piano, I can play it whole day without stopping and feeling satisfied with it.

I'll BUY it next year. This is too much for me, I want to play the whole day. Indulge myself with music.

Hey, I was going to post a happier post today. But I just broke down because of the situation here and trying to vent my frustrations here. SORRY people.

Tuesday, May 26, 2009

Some updates.

Taking a long break before writing this post.

One thing I am very happy about was the re-releasing of bokura ga ita.
I have been waiting for this manga for a year already.
When it ends of with the girl noticing the back of the guy she was looking for.
Finally, the writer is releasing it on 12th of June.
I can't wait since its quite captivating.

Another thing is, yesterday my piano teacher bought Grade 7 scales, sight-reading and pieces.
I'm not taking theory for G6, taking Grade 7 next year.
Anyway, I was so shocked when I saw the book.
especially when there are 4 pages for some of the pieces.
Longest song 3mins. HAHA.
Anyway, I listening to all the pieces and gonna choose the ones that I like!
Can't wait to learn the new pieces, but still, its quite challenging for me though.

I want to thank God.
For:
No lab management UT, because the day before, my laptop was down, so didn't had chance to study.

So sleepy, Lab management lesson is really boring.

BUSY for the new semester.

I've been very busy for the past days.
New semester, changing of new timetable.
Now, my dad doesn't fetch me to school, and I have to go home late.

Out of the 5 days of school, three days, I have been staying back till 6, reaching home at 8 to eat dinner. (I get hungry a lot now.)

this life is really out of the box. I mean, its so different from my usual lifestyle.

From mondays to sundays, I have never stop to wake up early.
Not much rest even if I want to.

New class doesn't matter much, old classmates and new classmates.
The facis are a great deal though.

Monday was a boring module(lab management), nothing really.
Tuesday was a bit brain cracking(genomics) yet not stressful enough to make me go mad.
Thursday was the worst and they felt like fridays. (Biotech marketing, management)

This faci of mine, out of his one sentence I guess there were at least 3 "bloody hell x10". Other vulgar language includes "bullshit x5, shit x2, points middle finger x2". I wonder if I would learn anything good out of his lesson. Others may find it funny, but I seriously do not think I'm learning at all. Of course, I don't really blame him for staying at US for 20 years, being open minded; all crazy researchers.

He kept babbling on and on, talking related and unrelated stuffs that I wasn't interested at all. And I don't get his jokes, culture difference, I guess. He said this sentence many times: "You think I'm bullshitting you right? I know, but this world is grease of bullshit, no choice, you have to learn it."

And he gave us a nickname, my friend and I, pillar girl just because we were sitting in front of the pillar. okay.

Lets go on to Friday (industrial and food biotech), okay. Today was quite easy pixzy, so not exactly a too much problem. I found that today's faci was quite nice. But i'm so tired, rushing down from school to tamp then to jurong east because my MP3 player hanged. Finally reaching home at 9plus.

I drained all my energy out for this whole week, I can't even think right now.
hais, I'm sleeping. SEE YA!

Craze!

Lets see, I'm starting school on monday. Boring.

Okay to the main topic,
Recently I watched this anime; A Victorian Romance;Emma.
Of all the animes that I watched, I love this the most.
One of the reason is that, their music are really nice.
They didn't use any singers for the opening and ending song, just instruments.
Combination of flutes/recorder? and violin, the best I ever heard.
It sound like waltz and minuet, not to mention, romantic pieces.
Menuet for Emma, my favorite piece of all.

Second, I really like the settings.
it was sort of olden European era.
Vintage? I think its what you call it.
I liked that effect a lot and Now I'm so into it.
It was abit like candy candy, lady georgie.

Next, the story wasn't that bad.
It's a typical political stuffs.
Like the guy was of a quite higher social status, falling in love with a maid.
And you know, how it will be difficult for them to be together.
As people like them often marry off with their own status.
AND also the histories behind the show.

Hmm, I haven read the manga yet.
And they said its better than anime.

SO, there ends my victorian romance craze.
I'm so into olden anime.
Those my mother watched before.

I love animes like candycandy, lady georgie.
Though they always have tragic endings.

Candy candy- both her lovers left her(under such sad circumstances), but she found her prince in the end.
Lady georgie - Happy ending for anime. I read from forum, in the manga, her lover died(scarifical love for his brother) and the younger brother was rape?, drugged, i guess.

Now, I'm off to watch Kaze no Shoujo Emily.
So, now what tragic endings/show.
HAHA.
I'll be back to tell you my views on that anime.

Soundtracks, go and listen if you have time.

01- silhouette of a breeze
02 - love at first sight
03 - emma
04 - lace handkerchief
05 - menuet for emma
06 - society
07 - solitude
08 - crystal palace
09 - silhouette of a breeze (piano solo)
10 - with him
11 - emma (piano solo)
12 - the season
13 - solitude (recorder ver.)
14 - separation
15 - confession
16 - menuet for emma (piano solo)
17 - emma (harpsichord ver
18 - william's love
19 - silhouette of a breeze (record ver.)

Be sure to listen to the music!
They are nice.

GROW GROW GROW!!

Yesterday, my beloved little sister wanted to measure my dad's height for her project.

AND, I happily asked her to help me measure too.

AND, I am shocked when she told me I was 156cm!

AND why?

Because I GREW TALLER BY 2-3cm!

OKAY, but I didn't know if it is accurate or not, since she took the metal type measuring tape.
HEH.

BUT even if it is misleading, I rather believe that I GREW! YEAHH.

HOPE I can still grow, even though my dad keep saying that I'm not growing anymore.
HAH. That's all!

tinkle tinkle went off to bed.
:D

Come sei veramente

Hey people!
I'm gonna share this.
I thought this music was very nice.
And I went to search for the music sheets.
7 pages and there goes my shoulder ache.

Today, I got the scores. I can't wait
Therefore, I started on playing the song,
Sad thing is that I can't really do octaves(fast), and there's like 2 pages of it.
I have to play a note instead.

Now, I just need perfection on some parts.
Hopefully I can perfect this by tomorrow though.

Hmm, btw this was by an Italian artist - piano solo by Giovanni Allevi
I think he was really talented and I got two books of his music sheet.
Other than this, there are a few other songs which are quite nice too.
So, if any of you wants, can get it from me.

Its called: Come sei veramente

5 languages of love

Recently, I attended the caring team workshop on how to care for others.
And there I learnt about the 5 languges of love by Gary Chapman.

These are:
1. Words of affirmation
Explanation: You need to hear praise to know you are loved, and you may also prefer to express your affection verbally. Negative comments cut right to the bone. You want to hear that you're loved and how much and why.

2. Quality Time
Explanation: This can be expressed either through those intimate tĂŞte-Ă -tĂŞte discussions or via doing things together. (Just means spending time together)

3.Receiving Gifts
Explanation: Presents and physical tokens of affection move you. It's the fact that someone is thinking about you enough to give you something that moves you. The objects are of secondary importance to the relationship and sentiment with which they were intended.

4. Acts of service
Explanation: You prefer to show your love through favors and chores and doing things for others. You feel put-upon and unappreciated when your efforts are taken for granted.

5. Physical touch
Explanation:You want to give and/or receive affection physically. This may or may not center on sex.

My sister told me that there was this quiz online, so I decided to take it.
And there, my rank:
#1 Quality time
#2 Acts of service
#3 Words of affirmation
#4 Physical touch
#5 Receiving gifts

When I saw this, I am wondering how true it is because quiz aren't really trustworthy and dependable.
I guess as long as people whom I care about talks to me, I would be happy.

So people try the test and tell me your results okay!
TOODLES!

Others often asked me why am I so quiet?
But as quiet as I am, I wanted to be outspoken too but it doesn't works that way.
Times when I tried, I was ignored, then I felt as though it doesn't matter anymore.
But there were also times where I don't even know what to say, even though I hope there was ongoing conversations.
And there were times where there's no way to open my heart to others because I might get teary.
Even the recent piano test, I was struggling to keep my tears away when I talked about it.
Actually I did open my heart to this blog and now, I'm wondering if that's right or not since the whole world can read this.

Past.. Cambodia Part1

As I was flipping through my CDs,
I saw my past photos which I still remembers vividly.
It was around 2005... how long ago was that? (about 4 years ago bah)

And all these pictures were taking while we were at cambodia, a service learning trip I guess.
It's been so long since I saw these pictures again.
So, I thought of sharing these photos.

This was taken at T1, group photo.
This trip includes primary school students and two disabled guys other than us.

Then we reached cambodia airport. It's quite cool and it was not air-conditioned.

Then we are on our way to Hope village, an orphanage.
yah, world map, cause my team is in charge of teaching geography.

This was taken on the bus.
In cambodia, you can't imagine how crowded it was here.
There were so many cambodians walking around with baskets of the things they are selling.
And they are actually selling things straight through the windows of car/bus.
You can't imagine how they tried to sell their food to us.

I guess the air was quite polluted here because there was alot of cars and like some jam kind of thing.
Btw, they are selling some fried crickets. These fried insects were quite popular there, like fried cockroaches and spiders. My friends bought them and they tried it.
They said it was not bad but instead, crunchy and there wasn't the scary "cockroaches" taste. HAHA!

So, after a certain distance, we finally reached the orphanage.
These kids have just finished their school,
and they are so cute and kind to help us with our luggage.

Here's their dog, I forgot its name though. HAH.
oh yah, there was a singaporean who was there, I think she has been there for quite long.
And she was helping the orphanage.

They are amazed with the camera and they seriously like cameras and taking photos, whenever we took out our cameras, they would crowd around us and pose. HAHA!
so cute. I guess they hardly had a chance to take photo.

Hmm, this was our bunk and its kind of underground area.
The kids slept at the other area of the building.

They had this little carnival and fund raising project for us.

This was what they made, its really nice.

So, that was for the PART 1 of the cambodia trip, I'll be back with more and its going to be a very long post though. HAHA!

See ya!

New blogkin 2 ((:

Another new blogskin?
HAH.
I guess I don't trust blogskin.com already.
Because the pictures they use are all uploaded into photobucket.
And then there's error.

So, I decided to design my own blogskin.
HAH, there it is, after 3 hours of hardwork.
I rather like doing html, its quite fun..
but the process is hectic, like making the pictures looks in order.

Here's the process of how it is made:

The original template:

After putting the box and some editings:

Then I put in the dogs pictures!:

Then use picnik to add in the header:

Picnik is a really good website, easy to use and good for editing pictures.
you can add text, shapes on to your pictures,
change your pictures effects and create framebox!
So its really nice for those who likes to edit pictures. :D

COOL!

Hey guys! I'm back.
Let's have some updates on what's going on.

SAT:
I went to IT show with my sisters,
ONE word: SARDINES.
yes, its a lot of people, we were squashed with the crowd of fishes.
well, partly because that's the peak hour time.

hmm, i wanted to get a new mp3 player, i mean, those can watch videos.
and on friday, I even spent like the whole day to find converters for my videos.
the worst thing in this IT Show is that, we wanted to get creative players.
Just when we reached there, climb the long and crowded escalator, AND FOUND OUT THAT CREATIVE HAS PULLED OUT OF THE SHOW!

FINE, haha. we spent about one to two hours there and we went for dinner with my arms aching.
(it should be legs aching, but its the other way around though)
As previously, I went to challenger to check out prices, so we travelled back to pasir ris and found out that they left the 16GB ones. It was 9plus at night. You can't imagine how tired and disappointing and unfruitful this trip was, and i was out for the whole day.

Well, in the end, we decided to courts the next day.

SUN:
After YF, we went mega courts, happily thinking that BIGGER store should have more MP3 PLAYERS. well, there isn't even a sign of the player that we wanted to get, so another wasted trip. Then we went back and forth from tampines courts to century square's best denki, asking for that model and the price. We spent at least 2 to 3 hours over there. In the end, I got my mp3 player, same one as my little sis, while my elder sis decided that she would buy other models.

ANYWAY! Tried out my player and its still okay, so far, no problems with it. I can use it quite well, not much difficulties. I own a creative player though. This is my second one. HHA (:

This post is all about buying my gadets? HAH.
Anyway, had to plan alot of things.
SPY and Wanhong, I need to confirm the cycling trip on friday.
And we can also discuss what date and day we can all go for the ice cream trip too!

I'm FISHY!
That's all.

PS: I'm putting up pictures that my sister took at the esplanade, there was this moasic concert i think. and they had neon lights sculpture and its really cute and nice. HAH!

Confidence Booster!

OKAY, here's what I found on the net.

Here are 5 Things you can instantly do to get a confidence boost:

(1) Fake it till you make it; Act as if you are confident and before you realize it your acting it becomes the real confidence you seek.

(2) Focus on the task and not the crowd; by focusing on what needs to be done be it giving a speech or negotiating a deal your confidence come flooding back because you are an expert on what you do.

(3) Visualize yourself carrying out the task; there is power in visualization, see yourself confidently stepping up to the podium or confidently facing a potential prospect and before you know it you are acting out what you visualized.

(4) Smile; a smile can do you a lot of good when you are feeling a bit under, before you realize it people are smiling back and you are back on track.

(5)Reaffirm your self belief; Take a deep breath and reaffirm your self belief, self talk can make a great deal of difference.

And I seriously need confidence booster for my piano.
Had my exam at feb, I guess i'm not suitable for performing.
I was real nervous and get my scales wrong, that that was my worst exam ever.
Even playing in church, I can't imagine when I played well at home, I still got slips at church.
Where can I get my confidence from?
Today, I had my piano lessons, somehow unconsciously, I thought of giving up on piano.
I just couldn't get over the exam but my passion is still there.
I don't have any confidence in taking the next grade exam.

Next thing: Gotta get very busy for FYP. Going back to school for three days to settle FYP stuffs.Ohya, next week my group have to do ice cream for the yu ren sheng and principal to try. HAH! TOTAL sians.

ANYWAY!!! I'll be going to the IT show at suntec city next week, sat.
I can't wait to get my new mp3.
I'm giving my mum my old player so she can listen to her songs!

Going off to read mangas.
I don't care if I'm addicted to it! (:

so see ya!

QUIZZEE? or PERSONALITIEE?

As promised, this post is quiz post!

PERSONALITY TEST

#1 Shower test
What part of the body do you wash first in the shower?

The following describes your character:

Hair
Artistic type. Daydreaming is your hobby but you can achieve what most other people cannot. Dedication is lacking but you will work tirelessly towards goals which are to your liking. Money is not important. Friends are but only intellectuals and fellow artistic types. Make the best lovers as you are most willing to explore and please the other partner. Talent is your main strength. Your best partner in life will be those who chose chest.

My comment: I think its quite true though.

#2 Personality type

Introvert, iNtuitive, Thinker, Judger (INTJ)
INTJs represent between 2 and 4% of the U.S. population

INTJ’s are perfectionists. They tend to be exceptionally innovative, strategic, long-range thinkers who pursue excellence in everything they do. Their strong need for autonomy and achievement – and their faith in their own original ideas – drives them to reach their goals. Highly logical and astute, INTJ’s are quick to see the implications of new ideas and products, and will work hard to see their ideas translated into real-world results. They may set unrealistically high standards, and push other people almost as hard as they push themselves. Not particularly bothered by indifference or criticism, INTJs are among the most independent of all the types, and work productively alone for long periods of time. With original minds, great insight, and vision, INTJs are natural brainstormers. They are naturally theoretical and work well with complex and global concepts.

Ice cream making!

Today, we had FYP meeting at 10am!
Things were going great as we did our 2nd ice cream trial.
We added all the ingredients for cocoa ice cream and put it into the ice cream churner.
And TADAA!! It was quite nice and we ate a lot.

Alot of things went on and we were down with emulsifier/stabilizer for ice cream.
Its for the texture of the ice cream, so we called like a lot of baking supplies company, but there wasn't any.
So on the last resort, we replaced that with egg yolk.
And I told them that our ice cream is high in cholesterol because we put 5 egg yolks in total!! HAHA!

Tomorrow, we will start to do herbs ice cream!
if you want to eat, come rp!
Anyway, gotta take pictures!

NEXT POST is QUIZ POST!!
that means i would be taking alot of quizzes and post them up!
HAHAH!

Random?! :D

Today was as usual.
Have to play piano for the little kids at zion house.
At about 2, I went for church choir practice.

As for church choir, this is the first time I officially joined.
Therefore, some of the practices they did I could not understand at all.
But still, it was an enjoyable experience.

I'm under the soprano part, therefore, it wasn't that hard
because I just need to sing the melody.
but my techniques need to brush up still!

A topic to share for today: Would be a song?
This song is called "musician"/"Tsunaida te ni kiss wo".
Heard about this song from my sister and this song was in the episode 92/93 of the D.gray man anime. This song is quite sad and slow.

I think it was quite nice and I personally liked it very much.
Now, I'm trying to learn the piano part of this song by ear.
There are many virations of this music in youtube, but I want the really original.
So, that's why i am going to learn this by listening to the song.

The lyrics of this song:

Tsunaida te ni Kiss wo
So the little infant fell into a deep sleep.
Soshite bouya wa nemuri ni tsuita
Among the grey ashes in the flames shining...First one, then two ...
ikizuku hai no naka no honoo, hitotsu, futatsu to ukabu fukurami itoshii yokogao
Surfaces numerous of your faces
daichi ni taruru ikusen no yume, yume

A thousand dreams trickle back to the earth
Gin no hitomi no yuragu yoru ni
On the night when the silver eyes were trembling , the shining you was born
umare ochita kagayaku omae, ikuoku no toshitsuki ga
Across millions of years, the prayers have already returned back to the earth
ikutsu inori wo tsuchi e kaesshitemo

I will still continue to pray
Watashi wa inori tsuzukeru
Please bestow upon this child your love
douka konoko ni ai wo
Upon our joined hands, leave a gentle kiss
tsunaida te ni kisu wo

So the little infant fell into a deep sleep.
Soshite bouya wa nemuri ni tsuita
Among the grey ashes in the flames shining...First one, then two ...
ikizuku hai no naka no honoo, hitotsu, futatsu to ukabu fukurami itoshii yokogao
Surfaces numerous of your faces
daichi ni taruru ikusen no yume, yume

A thousand dreams trickle back to the earth
Gin no hitomi no yuragu yoru ni
On the night when the silver eyes were trembling , the shining you was born
umare ochita kagayaku omae, ikuoku no toshitsuki ga
Across millions of years, the prayers have already returned back to the earth
ikutsu inori wo tsuchi e kaesshitemo

I will still continue to pray
Watashi wa inori tsuzukeru
Please bestow upon this child your love
douka konoko ni ai wo
Upon our joined hands, leave a gentle kiss
tsunaida te ni kisu wo

I will still continue to pray
Watashi wa inori tsuzukeru
Please bestow upon this child your love
douka konoko ni ai wo
Upon our joined hands, leave a gentle kiss
tsunaida te ni kisu wo

~end.

Piano version of the song:

DGray-Man_-_Tsunaida_te_ni_Kiss_wo_Karaoke.mp3

Song version of the song is under my music box.

Long term holiday! HAH!

I was inspired by SPY blog.
And I decided to change my blogskin to something I thought nice.

Hmm,

Revival

HAPPY 2009!

For once, I realized that my posts in this new blog was 9:130 compared to my old blog.
this was all blamed mainly on my laziness.

If I were to update all Dec stuffs, this would be the longest entry ever.
I have decide on my new year resolution!

oh well, rolling back to DEC 2008.
The major event was not Christmas but YF camp. (I did mention few posts before)
This camp was the fourth camp? or fifth camp that I went to.
It was fun and unforgettable but the sermon was not there yet..
I guess the games was cool.
Especially this 120seconds NG,
We had to finish one whole round of station games within 120s and without NG!
It wasn't easy as I thought but my group was the only group which completed this game!
All the games was very different, there was one night, we had variety show game:
1. Don't forget the lyrics
2. Are you smarter than a 5th grader?
3. The price is right
(There is still other games but don't bother to mention.)
It was quite hectic but I still enjoyed.
Lastly, we had this CSI game for the last night!
LAST NIGHT:
Campfire, phototaking and "ton"
Its always the last night of the camp where we the campers would talk/chat till morning!
This year, our favourite game was, "SET YOUR TEMPO ALREADY GO!", "TOOKIE TOOKIE AND TONGKAT TONKAT" & "Some hand movement game".
we played this like million times, whenever we are free.

The last night after the campfire, I chat with my little sis and then played mind games and polar bear with jess, two sisters, abel, shiryln, ray, ellis, hanen and xinci. I heard that we were so loud and high for that night cus those who were going to sleep heard our voices and screams!
And we slept at 5 plus or 6 plus in the morning. dehh.
AHHHAH!!

ANYWAY! this is the group photo for the whole campers!
The arrangement was by rows.
First row, 94&below
2nd: 93
3rd:92&91
4th:90!
5th:89, 88 and above!

OKAY! that's all for the last year.
AND I shall continue the first or rather the second post for 2009!
welcoming back my revival!
